Terms of use

These terms explain how PrepAcer works and what you agree to when you use it or buy a plan. They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, email hello@prepacer.com.

Who we are

PrepAcer is a trading name of JARY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17522627). Registered office: Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU. You can contact us at hello@prepacer.com.

What PrepAcer is

PrepAcer is a practice and revision service for children, set up and managed by a parent or guardian. It offers practice questions with instant marking, explanations, study notes and, for some products, a voice tutor. It does not guarantee any exam result or place at any school.

PrepAcer is independent. It is not connected to, or endorsed by, any exam board, test provider or school.

Accounts

  • A parent or guardian aged 18 or over must create the account, with their own email address. Each account is for one child.
  • You are responsible for keeping the password safe. Tell us if you think an account has been misused.
  • Your child uses the same account. They can log in with your email or with a username you choose, and the account's password. We do not ask for a child's email address.

Free use and plans

Each account can try a small number of questions for free. A paid plan unlocks all questions and more AI features. Plans are paid for once, for a fixed term of 3, 6 or 12 months, counted from the day you buy. A plan does not renew automatically, so nothing needs cancelling. When it ends, your child keeps their progress and can still use the free questions.

  • Buying the same plan again while it is running adds the new term to the end.
  • Moving from Plus to Pro while Plus is running gives you credit for the unused Plus time against the Pro price.
  • Prices are shown in pounds before you pay. The price you see is the price you pay.
  • Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store card details.

AI marking and the tutor

Written answers and tutor replies are produced by an AI model. They can make mistakes. Every AI-marked answer can be flagged with “I think this is wrong”, and we review flags. Plans include a monthly allowance of AI credits. When it is used up, you can move to a higher plan to carry on with AI, or your child can mark their own answers against the mark points until the allowance resets.

Using PrepAcer properly

  • Use it for learning. Do not try to copy the questions to publish them, or to get around the limits.
  • Do not share a child's login with other children.
  • We may suspend an account that is abused or puts others at risk.

Content

The questions, explanations and software are original and belong to us. They are not past papers. Exam board and test names are used only to say which course or test a set of practice follows. You may use PrepAcer for your own child's revision.

Our responsibility

We take care to keep PrepAcer accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

Refunds

Plans give access to digital content straight away. When you buy, you ask for access to start immediately and accept that you lose the 14-day legal right to cancel once access begins. Plans are not refundable, so please try the free sample questions first. This does not affect your statutory rights if the service is faulty or not as described. Our Refund Policy gives the detail and is part of these terms.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell you before it applies to a plan you have already bought. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
